Merino Wool Activewear Manufacturer
Technical merino activewear with End to End process managed under one roof in Gurugram, India — yarn selection, circular knitting, dyeing, cut-and-sew and finishing in a single vertically integrated mill.
Activewear is a fabric-first category, and vertical integration is what makes it work. Because Apex Apparels knits and dyes in-house, an activewear programme starts at the yarn and the knit structure instead of a mill's stock list. We knit single jersey for lightweight performance tees, rib for close-fitting stretch and recovery, terry for athleisure warmth and interlock for smooth-faced heavier layers — each tuned to your target GSM, hand feel, stretch and shrinkage tolerance.
We manufacture in pure merino and in engineered blends: merino with nylon or polyester for high tensile strength and abrasion resistance in hard-wearing outdoor and training programmes, and merino with organic cotton or Tencel for softer athleisure. Merino brings the performance properties synthetics chase — moisture management, natural odour resistance and microclimate control across a wide temperature range — and our fabric lab validates each of these on approved prototypes before bulk runs.
Construction matches the fabric: flatlock and coverstitch seaming, seam placement away from pressure points, bonded and taped options, and low-torque finishing so garments hold shape after repeated washing. Every activewear programme runs on the same certified framework as the rest of the mill — Woolmark, RWS, OEKO-TEX®, GOTS and Sedex, with AQL 1.5 inspection before packing. Our cut and sew production is fully solar powered.

Questions Buyers Ask Us
- What merino activewear do you manufacture?
- Performance tees and long sleeves, training tights and shorts, athleisure sweats and hoodies, and outdoor and hiking layers. We build them in single jersey, rib, terry and interlock, in pure merino and in engineered merino blends.
- Which merino blends work best for activewear?
- Merino with nylon or polyester for high tensile strength, abrasion resistance and faster drying; merino with organic cotton or Tencel for softer athleisure hand feel. We develop the blend and knit to your target GSM, stretch and recovery.
- How do you engineer performance properties?
- Our in-house fabric lab tunes yarn, knit structure and finishing for moisture management, natural odour resistance, microclimate control and dimensional stability, then validates it on approved prototypes before bulk.
- Are your activewear fabrics certified?
- Yes. We hold Woolmark, RWS, OEKO-TEX®, GOTS and Sedex certification, and we are an Affiliate Supply Chain Partner for Woolmark and The Zentatra Wool Company for traceable ZQ and ZQ+ merino.
- What are your activewear lead times?
- Typically 6–8 weeks from tech pack to approved prototype including fabric development, then 8–12 weeks for bulk depending on quantity and finishing.
